2-Minute Read: Why HealthyG1?
We, as humans, want to not only earn a living but also want to earn enough so that we pass on our savings, properties & assets to our next generation. We also have a few lucky ones with us who have inherited a fortune!
Let’s take an example. There was this man who was the richest person of the place. He had amassed enormous wealth through his businesses. He was honest, ethical & hardworking. He was pleasantly proud of the success that he had achieved in the society. One day, he was sitting at his desk – sad & lost in deep thoughts. One of his friends was supposed to come & meet him and discuss details about a new venture. Such was the intensity of his thoughts that he did not come to know when his friend entered his office & sat right in front of him. His friend literally shook him out of his state of trance & asked “What’s the matter? Why do you look so sad?” This man nonchalantly replied – “Friend, I have earned enough for myself. This will also last for my 7 generations to come. But I am worried. What about my 8th generation? What will happen to them? What will they do?”
Humans are the only species on this planet with such humongous psychological distress!
But there is also something that we do not like to inherit – hereditary diseases! We know that it is almost always a possibility to get a disease or a health issue similar to what our parents or grandparents have had.
Disease is highly structured at the molecular, genetic, gene program, cell and tissue levels. Today, science has achieved enormous success & we are already seeing the beginning of a fundamental shift in medicine – away from treating symptoms of disease and toward treating disease at its genetic roots. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” We, as humans, have been able to apply this adage to our health. We have already seen amazing rapid advancements aimed at preventing the onset of disease – this includes vaccines and risk-factor interventions – this has helped us double the life expectancy worldwide. But it is more important to live healthy than to live long.
By using precision medicine technologies, we are now able to identify your genetic vulnerabilities to chronic and deadly diseases at an individual level which enables us to potentially pre-empt your disease that may occur decades later.
Heredity characters are transmitted from parental generation to the offspring. These characters are maintained through inheritance. But the genes which are beneficial for the organisms in helping them to adapt to the environment are transmitted to the next generations in a greater proportion. This happens due to natural selection. The process of evolution happens at a very slow pace. The favorable genes are preserved in the species as they bring about better survival of the individuals. Such individuals reproduce more efficiently and evolve. The individuals with unfavorable genes are not selected by nature and are thus removed from the population through natural death. The fuel for evolution is thus truly supplied by the hereditary changes.
Research and advancements in the fields of Science and Medicine have enabled us to devise strategic methods so as to pre-empt possible health issues in an individual and the child.
We, at HealthyG1, have successfully devised a Medical Screening Health Questionnaire which gives us an insight into the most probable health issues that you and/or your children are likely to go through.
